Hi @Kermikel,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP OfficeJet 3833 is printing items in an extra-large format when printing from your iPhone 14, it’s likely due to a settings issue either on your iPhone, in the printer settings, or related to the print job configuration. Here’s a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve this issue:

**1. Check Print Settings on iPhone

Open the Document or Image:

  • Open the document or image you want to print on your iPhone.

Access Print Options:

  • Tap the Share icon (a square with an arrow pointing up) or the Print option (depending on the app you're using).

Select Printer:

  • Ensure that your HP OfficeJet 3833 is selected as the printer.

Check Print Settings:

  • Look for any settings related to Page Size, Scale, or Fit to Page. Make sure they are set correctly.
    • For most apps, you should see options like Fit to Page or Actual Size. Ensure Fit to Page is selected if you want to avoid oversized prints.

Preview Print:

  • Use the print preview feature to check how the document or image will appear on the page. This can help you identify any scaling issues before you print.

**2. Update Printer Firmware and iOS

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support website and check if there is a firmware update available for your OfficeJet 3833.
  • Follow the instructions provided to download and install the latest firmware.

Update iOS:

  • Ensure your iPhone is running the latest version of iOS. Go to Settings > General > Software Update and install any available updates.

**3. Check Printer Settings

  • On the printer’s control panel, check for any settings related to paper size and scaling. Ensure that the default settings match the paper size you are using.
  • If you have the HP Smart app installed, open it and check the printer settings from there. Look for options related to print size or scaling.

**4. Check Document or App Settings

  • If you’re printing from a specific app, make sure that the document or image is not set to an oversized format within the app. Some apps have their own print settings that may override default printer settings.
  • Try printing from a different app or viewer to see if the issue persists. This can help identify if the problem is app-specific.

**5. Reset Printer Settings

Reset Printer:

  • Perform a basic reset of your printer to restore default settings.
  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 60 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
