Hi @MeDave1963,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your Android phone isn't connecting to your HP ENVY 5660 e-All-in-One Printer, try the following steps:

Check Printer and Phone Connection:

  • Ensure that both your printer and Android phone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, Android phone, and Wi-Fi router to refresh connections.

Update HP Smart App:

  • Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your Android phone. You can update it from the Google Play Store.

Reinstall HP Smart App:

  • Uninstall and reinstall the HP Smart app on your Android phone.

Check Printer Settings:

  • Ensure that the printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can check this on the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app on a computer.

Add Printer to HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app and add your printer again. Follow the app’s instructions to set up a new connection.

Update Printer Firmware:  Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • Make sure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates through the HP Smart app on a computer.

Check for Wi-Fi Issues:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning correctly and that there are no network issues.

Check Permissions:

  • Ensure that the HP Smart app has the necessary permissions on your Android phone, such as access to the local network and storage.
