My Samsung s Galaxy phone will not print in color to my HP ENVY 5660. Im not very great with technical skills so I need to know in basic steps how to change my phone settings. It used to print in color but I must have changed something without knowing it.

Hi @CML51,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I'd be glad to help you!
I'm sorry you're facing this issue with printing in color. Let's see if we can resolve it together with a few simple steps!
- When you print from your Samsung Galaxy phone, do you see the color option in the print settings before you print?
- Have you tried printing other documents, or is the issue only with a specific document or app?
- Is the printer itself showing any issues or error messages when printing in color?
Check the Printer Settings:
- Open the document or photo you want to print.
- Tap the "Share" or "Print" icon (usually found in the app’s options).
- Select your HP ENVY 5660 printer and tap on "More options" (if visible).
- Look for the "Color" option and make sure it’s set to Color instead of Black and White or Grayscale.
Reboot Your Phone and Printer:
- Turn off your phone and restart it.
- Power off your HP ENVY 5660, wait a few seconds, and turn it back on. This will reset the connection.
Update Printer Software:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date by checking HP's website or the HP Smart app. Updates may fix any bugs that affect color printing.
Check the HP ENVY 5660 Ink Levels:
- Check your ink levels to make sure you have color ink in your printer.
- You can do this through the HP Smart app or the printer’s control panel.
Reset Printer Settings:
- If the above steps don't work, try resetting your printer settings to default. To do this, go to your printer’s menu, find the “Restore Factory Defaults” option, and follow the prompts.
These steps should help restore color printing from your Samsung Galaxy!
