Hi @JadeJC,
Welcome to HP Support Community!
We noticed that this thread hasn't had any updates in a while since your original post; while this is rare, we didn't want this post to remain unanswered, so, here's the solution to your query. We hope it helps you and everyone viewing this post 😊
1. Restart the Printer
-
Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This might help reset any temporary issues with the touchscreen or menu functionality.
2. Update the Printer Firmware
-
Sometimes, an outdated firmware can cause interface problems. Check if there’s a firmware update available for your printer. You can typically do this through the printer’s web interface or using the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
3. Hard Reset (Factory Reset)
-
If the problem persists, you could try performing a factory reset. Keep in mind this will erase all custom settings, so you’ll have to reconfigure the printer afterward.

4. Bluetooth Setup Process
-
Ensure Bluetooth adaptor is connected and is enabled on your printer. If you can manage to interact with the screen, find the Bluetooth settings and turn it on.
-
To pair with your device, make sure Bluetooth is enabled on your smartphone or computer as well.
-
Initiate pairing: On the printer, there might be a "Bluetooth Pairing" option that you can select to start the connection process. On your device, search for available Bluetooth devices, and select your printer.

5. Try the HP Smart App
-
Try using the HP Smart app to manage your printer and connect it to Bluetooth. This app can often help bypass issues with the touchscreen menu.
