Welcome to the HP Support Community!

  • Which Operating system is installed on your computer?
  • Have you tried making a standalone copy and check if you have the same issue?
  • Try Single cartridge mode to identify the defective ink cartridge. Install only Black ink cartridge and try to make a Standalone black copy, then install only the Tri-color and make a color copy.

Power resetting the printer, updating the printer firmware and aligning the printer may resolve this issue. Let us try these steps:

Step 1: Reset the printer

1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

2. Wait at least 60 seconds.

3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

Step 2: Update the printer firmware

Click here to know different methods of updating printer firmware.

Step 3: Align the printer

  1. On the printer control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon.

  2. Swipe up on the display, and then touch Printer Maintenance.

  3. Touch Align Cartridges, and then touch Continue.

Step 4: Print a Print Quality Diagnostic page

  1. On the control panel, swipe down to open the Dashboard, and then touch the Setupicon.

  2. Swipe up on the display, touch Reports, and then touch Print Quality Report.

Step 5: Try to print.

Let me know how this goes.
