HP DeskJet 3700
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hi

I recently finished setting up my HP DeskJet 3700 and changed the EWS admin password for safety.. however it seems that it s not set to what I thought as I'm not able to connect anymore.

Is there a way to reset this password?

Thanks

J

Welcome to HP Forums @Duponj,

Thanks for the post.

I see you are looking to get assistance in resetting the password for the EWS on your printer. I will be glad to help.

Most of the printers when you restore the network settings on the printer to defaults, the password for the EWS page gets reset.

To restore network defaults, hold the Cancel button + Wireless button on the printer for 3 seconds when the printer is ON, this would reset the network settings. Refer to page number 62 in the printer manual for assistance.

Let me know if this helped or if you need any assistance.

It seems nobody knows how to reset this. I think best thing to do is throw this to the garbage and buy an EPSON.
