Welcome to HP Support Forum!
I see from your post that you're getting cartridge error while printing from your HP Envy printer. No worries, I'll be glad to assist you.
In this scenario, I would suggest here is to perform a update on the printer.
Step 1: Update printer firmware
Some releases of ink cartridges are not compatible with older versions of printer firmware. Update the firmware to resolve this problem.
-
Download the printer firmware update utility.
-
Open the firmware update utility.
-
When the HP Printer Update window opens, see if the printer serial number displays.
-
If the name of your printer displays, select the name of your printer, and then click Continue.
-
If the serial number displays, select the checkbox next to it, and then click Update.
-
If the serial number displays but the status is 'not applicable' (grayed out), the firmware is already up-to-date. Click Cancel and go to the next step.
For more information about how to upgrade firmware, see Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware.

Turn the printer off, and then back on again after the printer firmware has finished updating.
If the issue persists, I would suggest here is to do a hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to print the print quality diagnostic report from the printer.
