Hi @dwhiting,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're getting the message "No AirPrint printers found" on your device, it means that your Apple device (iPhone, iPad, or Mac) is not able to detect your AirPrint-compatible printer on the network. Here are steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

1. Check Printer and Network Connection

  1. Ensure Printer is On: Make sure your printer is turned on and ready to print.
  2. Network Connection:
    • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your Apple device.
    • If the printer is connected via Ethernet, ensure it's connected to the same router that your Wi-Fi network is using.

2. Restart Devices

  1. Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on.
  2. Restart Router: Unplug the router, wait for 30 seconds, and then plug it back in.
  3. Restart Apple Device: Restart your iPhone, iPad, or Mac.

3. Verify Printer Compatibility and Settings

  1. AirPrint Compatibility: Ensure your printer supports AirPrint. You can check this in the printer's manual or the manufacturer's website.
  2. Update Firmware: Make sure your printer has the latest firmware. Check the printer’s control panel or the manufacturer’s website for updates.
  3. Enable AirPrint: Ensure AirPrint is enabled on the printer. Refer to the printer’s manual for specific instructions on enabling AirPrint.

4. Check Network Settings

  1. Wi-Fi Settings:
    • Ensure both your Apple device and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
    • Avoid connecting to a guest network or different subnets.
  2. IP Address: Check that the printer has a valid IP address. You can find this in the printer’s network settings.

5. Use Printer's IP Address

  1. Add Printer Manually:
    • On a Mac, go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
    • Click the + button to add a printer.
    • Select the IP tab and enter the printer’s IP address.
    • Select AirPrint from the Protocol dropdown menu.

6. Reset Network Settings

  1. Reset Network on Printer: Follow the printer's manual to reset its network settings, then reconnect to your Wi-Fi network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
