I purchased a 2549 printer yesterday and am unable to pair the printer to my router. I have tried push button WPS and also the pin generated by the printer method, and every combination of pairing button pressing. The manual says to install the software but I only use an iPad and iPhone and cannot install software. The display window on the printer shows a good wifi signal.

Hi,
Can you see the blue wireless light solid lit or blink?
As you mention a good wifi signal, a such will only appear once the printer is already connected to your WiFi.
If it solid lit, meaning the printer is connected to your router already and you should be able to print.
If it blinks, set a temporary Wireless Direct connectiona dn follow the Wireless Setup Wizard as following:
- Ensure Wireless Direct is on, the light next to the HP Wireless Direct button (
) should solid lit, else press the button to enable it.
- Press and old a Wireless Direct report by hilding the Wireless Duirect button for 3 seconds, then follow the steps on the printer report to connect to the pritner with the listed password.
- Open Safari and browse to http://192.168.223.1
- Select Wireless
- Click on Wireless Setup Wizard and follow the steps to connect to your WiFi.
- Once you are done reconnect your mobiel device back to your home network.
Click the Yes button to reply that the response was helpful or to say thanks.
