Operating System: Chrome OS

Hello, I bought an HP 5740 that now I have to use off line. I could connect it to a Chromebook either via USB that wireless connection. The printer looks connected properly, but when I try to print, I get the error that the printer is not connected. 

How can I correctly connect the 5740 to a Chromebook?
