I have the printer added to our wireless netnork. We have a Netgear R6080. On the router I have the latest firmware, V1.0.0.30, using 2.4 G, set to channel 11, WPA2-PSK [AES], SSID broadcast enabled.
On the printer I have set a static IP, IPV6 off, verified airprint / IPP is on.
I do have lots of IT experience and I have tried all sort of different settings on both printer and router.
The issue is the printer will show up from our apple devices (ipads/iphones/mac) after we power cycle the printer and we can printer. After about 5 minutes we can't see the printer from the apple devices and we have to power cycle it again. This never used to be a problem and I'm not sure what has changed to affect it. This issue only seems to be affecting the airprint, everything else is working correct.
Appreciate any help.

Welcome to HP Forums,
This is a great place to get support, find answers and tips to your technical queries.
I understand that the printer has an intermittent wireless connection.
Have you tried any update on the printer?
In the meantime follow the below steps.
Step 1: Check the printing requirements
Make sure your printer and Apple iOS device meet the following requirements to print with AirPrint.
-
iOS 4.2 or later running on the Apple iOS device
-
An HP printer that supports AirPrint
HP wireless printers released in 2010 and later support AirPrint. For detailed information about which HP printers support AirPrint, go to Mobile Printing Solutions Compatible with HP Printers.
-
A connection to the printer
Your printer and the Apple iOS device must be on the same local network or your printer must support Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct.
Try to print. If a No AirPrint printers found message displays, continue to the next step to connect the printer.
Step 2: Set up the wireless connection
Before you can print, both the Apple iOS device and printer must be connected, either through a wireless network or through Wi-Fi Direct/HP wireless direct. If your printer is connected to your computer using a USB cable, then you must use Wi-Fi Direct/HP wireless direct.
Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct connection
Step 3: Print from your Apple iOS device
Print from any app on your Apple iOS device that supports Apple AirPrint.
Video of printing from an iPad using Apple AirPrint
The following video demonstrates how to print from an Apple iPad with Apple AirPrint.
If you have trouble viewing the video, or to view the video in a different size, go to How to Print with Apple's AirPrint on YouTube (in English).
-
Make sure the printer is on and in a ready state. If the printer is in sleep mode (power light is dim), turn the printer on or press the power button to wake it.
-
Open the document, photo, email, or webpage you want to print, and then tap the Action icon
or
to display menu options.
-
Tap Print or the Print icon
, depending on the type of file you want to print.
-
On the Printer Options menu, tap Select Printer, and then select your printer from the list.
If a No Airprint Printers Found message displays, go to the What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple iOS device?FAQ for more information.
-
Tap Options to change other settings if necessary. Some options, such as paper size, might not be adjustable and must be changed from the printer.
The Options menu might not display if your printer is black ink only.

Select the number of copies you'd like to print, and then tap Print.

Hi Raj,
I have the latest IOS. I have been through the "What if a 'No AirPrint Printers Found' message displays on my Apple iOS device?FAQ" and nothing helped. We can see and print to the printer from all our apple devices rigtht after we power cycle the printer or turn wi-fi off/on. After a couple minutes , the printer is not visable from the apple devices. after the printer goes to sleep mode waking up the printer does not work. We must power cycle or bounce wi - fi services. It never used to be this way but now it is now. I can nail down what changed that made this happen.
thanks, Brian.

it looks like you were interacting with @Raj1788 who is out of office for the day. I am replying on his behalf.
It looks like a hardware issue with the printer. For now, please try these steps:
Try to update the printer's firmware using a Mac or Windows computer by following instructions from this link: https://hp.care/2rHKwDD
Now check if the issue gets fixed. Otherwise, I will send you a private message to perform a semi-full reset to factory settings. Please check your forum private message for steps from me on how to do it. If the printer has no hardware issues these steps should fix the issue.
Otherwise please contact HP phone support to possible get the printer replaced.
HP Technical Support can be reached by clicking on the following link: https://hp.care/2r9wSvP

I had this same problem with an Officejet Pro 8610. The printer was connected to a local access point via wifi AND HP Wireless Direct was turned ON. I turned OFF the HP Wireless Direct, which I was not using anyway, and that fixed the problem.
UPDATE: Looks like I was premature in my post. It worked for about 10 minutes then quit working again. With further investigation, I found the problem was with my wifi extender. I rebooted it and the problem was fixed.
