The printer keeps saying that it isn't connecting to server. I have followed other suggestions about unplugging modem, unplugging printer, waiting, and restarting. But the printer keeps stating that it can't connect. It also can't connect to web services. Being a teacher, I REALLY need my printer to be able to connect.

Please, please, please advise how I can fix this.

Thanks!

Thanks for reaching out to the HP community. A very good day to you. 🙂 I understand that you require assistance regarding the printer not connecting to the server every time there is a power outage. It will be a delight to help you. 🙂

Superb effort and commendable description of the issue. Kudos to you for that. 🙂 You are an important HP customer and it is an absolute privilege to share this platform with you. 🙂

For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this.

  • Did you bypass power strips?
  • Did you perform a hard reset on the printer?

For starters please perform all the required steps from this link HP Printers - Printer is Offline (MAC): Click Here and this should do the trick for you.

Step 1: Check connection between the printer and the Mac (connectivity)

Step 2: Reset the printer

Step 3: Remove multiple printers from the printer list

Step 4: Delete the existing print queue and add the printer

Step 5: Reset the printing system

Step 6: Other things to try

Disable IPv6 (network connection)

There are several steps to perform. Please do not throw in the towel and work with patience to get the issue corrected.

Hope this helps.  Let me know how this goes. I genuinely hope the issue gets resolved without hassles and the unit works great. 🙂  Please reach out for any issues and I'll be there to assist you. 🙂

I have tried all of the above - numerous times. I can get the printer online as in wireless, but not with the "server." As a teacher  - I really need this to work. This printer has been bragged on by many fellow teachers, but I can't get it to connect anymore. :Crying:
