HP Recommended

On my HP PageWide Pro MFP 477 dw screen there is a blue display of a power button icon and code B83C8378. It usually appears after  10 minutes of printer  inactivity. The printer cannot be used or turned off. The only way to get rid of this status is to unplug the printer, re-plug  and let it reset to the normal screen. Any idea what this could be.  I am using Windows 10 (not sure if it is 64 or 32 bits) on HP desktop and is connected through wify.   I tired to upload the latest firmware but the update failed several times and the printer  displayed a "VERIFY" loop  and had to be unplugged. The printing and scanning works OK BUT THAT ERROR CODE IS A NUASANCE as I have to unplug the device every time the message appears. Any suggestion on what this error code may be?
