I understand that you would like to connect the printer with smartphone.

On printer displays that have a wireless direct icon , select the icon to see which feature your printer supports, Wi-Fi Direct or HP wireless direct, and select the appropriate option below. For printers without a graphic display that have a wireless direct button, press the wireless direct button, or the wireless direct button and the Info button at the same time to print Wi-Fi Direct setup and use instructions.

If you see an NFC icon  on the printer, you can choose to use the NFC touch to print option.1

How it works

Available on printers that display the Wi-Fi Direct menu when the printer’s wireless direct icon  is selected.

For printers without a graphic display that have the wireless direct button , press the wireless direct button, or the wireless direct button and the Info button at the same time to print Wi-Fi Direct setup and use instructions.

Step 1

Setup Wi-Fi Direct printing

Tap on wireless direct icon to access Wi-Fi Direct details.

Step 2

Connect to Wi-Fi Direct network

Note the Network Name and Password, and connect your mobile device to this Wi-Fi network. Tap on the settings icon on the printer if Wi-Fi Direct Status is OFF.

Step 3

Ensure Wi-Fi Direct is on

Toggle ON Wi-Fi Direct if it is OFF.
