Hi there!

So I don't need to use my printer as much anymore, so have changed to the free 15 page plan. I am letting my friend use the printer with their own devices and they have made their own HP Instant Ink account, where they pay monthly for however many pages.

However I have just looked on my HP account and it says I have printed almost 4 sets of additional pages. My friend and I aren't sure why when from her devices my account is getting charged. I have changed my HP account details to theirs as they are the homeowner, but my email address and everything is still mine. Is it to do with the Wi-Fi we're on together? They use a USB connection mainly to print from their computer, so they might not have set up the driver for the computer (like they have with their other devices).

Is it not possible to have your own accounts but use the same printers (like they do in schools/colleges/universities)? Please can you help, thank you!

Hey there! @Helpastudentout, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you would like to if you can use the same printer with multiple instant ink accounts.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

You cant have multiple accounts for the same printer. For one printer you can have only one instant ink account.

Also, if you make copies from the printer even that will be counted as a page.

If you already enrolled your printer with the HP Instant Ink service, sign in to your HP Instant Ink account to view your account information.

Go to hpinstantink.com/signin (the HP Connected website) to sign in to your HP Instant Ink account, if you are not signed in already.

On your HP Instant Ink account page, review the following HP Instant Ink account information.

Print History: View the date and number of pages printed, and download invoices from completed billing cycles.

Account History: View detailed information about HP Instant Ink shipments, including the shipment date, shipment tracking numbers, and any additional charges. Also find enrollment and cancellation dates, promotional and referral discounts, and all historical transactions for your account.
