Print Anywhere feature

I have the hp office jet 8010 series printer.

If my friend is at their house and wants to send a print job to my printer, will that work if I've sent them the link to install the hp app? 

From what I've read that is how the print Anywhere function should work, is that correct?

According to the documentation, that is correct -- 

Your friend should also have (create) and HP Account.

and

On your side:

Sign into your HP Smart / HP Connected account and issue an invitation to those who should have access to your printer.

Note:  Website might take 1-10 seconds to open

Click Flag to switch to your region

Account Dashboard

Select Printers > In Section Printer Options > Click Invite Users / Print Anywhere / Remove Printer
