First of all, I need to vent, sorry. It's appalling, how bad HP support is - at least in Germany. A broad lack of technical understanding and unable to comprehend - and therefore solve - the problem.
Preamble: I'm running Mac OS 14.2 Sonoma, but you cannot select that above.
Here is my problem:
I've owned the above Color LaserJet for three years and up until this fall Print Anywhere worked fine. I'd open the documents I wanted to print in HP Smart and was able to send them through the app to my printer.
This stopped working in October. My printer shows as ready with the green cloud icon underneath in HP Smart, I open a document, but I don't have a print button on the next page. If I go to print preview, the printer is shown as green but the Print button is greyed out.
So I tried sending the document via Email to the printer. I get the confirmation mail from HP, but nothing is ever printed.
I have two theories: It's either a problem with our HP account (indicated by the fact that the printer is in my account in HP Smart, but does not show up in the support system on hp.com as well as me not being able to add it to my profile. The serial number is however recognized correctly by the support system).
Or could it be that the print anywhere feature was deactivated by HP, if that is even legal.
Anyone have any ideas towards this?
