When I print with my smartphone, the printing stops if the phone goes into stand-by mode.  My prints systematically fail every time the phonet goes into stand-by mode during a print. How can I fix this

Before, I didn't have this problem.

Thank you.

Hi @Halim25,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Ensure Stable Connectivity:

  • Make sure your printer and smartphone are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Check the Wi-Fi signal strength to ensure it is strong and stable.

Disable Stand-by Mode During Printing:

  • Temporarily change your smartphone settings to prevent it from going into stand-by mode during prints.
  • On most smartphones, you can go to Settings > Display > Sleep or Screen Timeout and set it to a longer duration or Never.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Install the HP Smart app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store if you haven't already.
  • Ensure that the app is up-to-date.
  • Use the HP Smart app for printing, as it helps manage connectivity and print queues better.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Check for any available firmware updates for your HP ENVY 6010 All-in-One Printer.
  • Go to the printer’s Settings menu and check for updates.
  • Follow the prompts to ensure your printer firmware is up-to-date.

Printer Network Settings:

  • Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of the printer for advanced settings. Ensure that your network settings are optimized for mobile printing.
  • To access EWS: Open your web browser and type in the printer’s IP address.
  • Navigate to network settings and ensure stability options are enabled.

I hope this helps.
