I can no longer print from my iphone, the green circle is there indicating that printer is ready and online (and I can print from my computer.) But from the phone the print button stays gray and I can’t “click” it… this is new as I’ve never had issues before from the iphone.

Hi @Melanie_2600,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like there might be an issue with the connection between your iPhone and the HP Tango printer. Let's troubleshoot this.
- Restart Printer and iPhone: Sometimes a simple restart can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both your printer and your iPhone, wait for a minute, then turn them back on.
- Update Firmware: Ensure that both your printer's firmware and your iPhone's operating system are up to date. Sometimes updates include fixes for connectivity issues.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Make sure that both your iPhone and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network. If they are not, they won't be able to communicate.
- Forget and Reconnect Wi-Fi: On your iPhone, forget the Wi-Fi network your printer is connected to, then reconnect to it. This can sometimes resolve connectivity problems.
- Reinstall Printer App: If you're using the HP Smart app, try deleting it from your iPhone and reinstalling it from the App Store. Sometimes a fresh installation can resolve issues.
- Reset Printer Settings: Check your printer's settings to ensure everything is configured correctly. You may also try resetting the printer to its factory settings and set it up again from scratch.
- Check Printer Permissions: Ensure that the HP Smart app has the necessary permissions to access your iPhone's printing functions. Go to your iPhone's Settings > HP Smart and make sure all permissions are enabled.
By going through these steps, you should hopefully be able to resolve the issue and start printing from your iPhone again.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
