I have spent over 2 hours this morning talking to 5 different people on the HP chat and I am still non the wiser on how to set up print from anywhere on my printer as I got cut off. I go on holiday in 3 weeks and the workshop staff who are still working will not have computer access. I need to print their job sheets remotely for them. The printer is connected to WiFi and my mobile is to the same WiFi. I have the HP app on my phone and can get to the area where it says print anywhere, enable remote printing but that tab and everything else beneath header printer settings is greyed out! There is a view all tab that can be clicked on but I cannot get any further there as it come up with this connection is not private warning message! This should not be this difficult. If anyone knows how to do this please can you help me! I know to set it up you have to be with the printer and I won’t be back in the office til the morning but if you think you can help that would be great!! Hope to hear from someone soon!

Hi @Knight1607,
Thanks for the update! Let’s walk through what you need to do to get Print Anywhere / Remote Printing working on your HP LaserJet MFP 3302fdw.
Since you mentioned that the Print Anywhere and Remote Printing options are greyed out, it usually means the printer is not fully linked to your HP account or not using the correct connection mode.
When you’re next with the printer, follow these steps:
1. Make sure the printer is added to your HP account
On your phone:
• Open the HP Smart app → Tap the + → Add your MFP 3302fdw
• Sign in with the same HP ID you want to use for remote printing.
This links the printer to your cloud dashboard.
2. Enable Web Services / HP ePrint
This is the most common missing step with the 3300-series models.
On the printer control panel:
Go to Setup (gear icon).
Select Web Services.
Choose Enable Web Services.
When prompted, allow it to connect.
Wait for the Info Sheet to print — it confirms Web Services are active.
If Web Services are not enabled, Print Anywhere stays locked.
3. Connect the printer to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network
These models often grey out cloud features if:
• The printer is on a guest network
• The router is using AP isolation
• The printer is on 5 GHz only
Make sure it’s connected to a standard 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi band without isolation features.
4. Refresh HP Smart after Web Services activation
On your phone:
• Close HP Smart fully
• Reopen the app → Tap the printer
• Scroll to Print Anywhere / Remote Printing
The toggle should now be active.
5. About the “connection is not private” message
That message appears when accessing the local Embedded Web Server (EWS) over HTTPS. It’s normal.
You can safely tap Advanced → Proceed — it’s just your local printer page.
Once everything is enabled, you’ll be able to:
• Send print jobs from anywhere in the world
• Allow your team to pick up prints at the office without a PC
• Use HP Smart Mobile to manage the printer remotely
I hope this helps.
I'm glad I could help! 😊 If this resolved your issue, please mark it as "Accepted Solution" and click "Yes" on "Was this reply helpful?" Your feedback not only keeps us going but also helps others find the solution faster! 👍✨
Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

section 2 on the printer control panel go to settings yes
select web services not there
therefore I cannot enable web services on the printer.
The printer is trying to do a firmware update but this is not loading correctly, is this the problem?
