When I try to print directly (from office app - Word or Office pdf viewer) I get a message informing me that my printer is "blocked" and I must check the printer. No paper jam. No doors open. HP Smart app says that the printer is ready.

The only way I can print is via the HP Smart app. I have to cancel the original print request. It also looks like I am being charged for the pages on the original canceled print requests(I use the HP instant ink system.

Please advise.

@Makcfa371, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

If you are able to print from the HP Smart app, then this could be an application-specific issue. Check for any updates on the phone and the office apps.

Do you mean Instant Ink is counting blank pages?

If there is any print on the page, it will be counted.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
