I have registered my printers email address and on the instruction sheet was advised to enter the "printer claim code". I cannot see where to do this or why I need to do it. Any ideas?

@James2801, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Use the Printer Claim Code to add your printer to an HP Connected account and access additional services supported by your printer, such as Instant Ink or Print Anywhere. You do not need a Printer Claim Code to use the basic functions of your printer, such as setting up, scanning, or printing.

Refer to this document HP Connected - Finding the Printer Claim Code for help.

Hope this helps!
