Product: HP DeskJet 2710e All-in-One Printer

HP ink cartridges not printing the amount of sheets stated on cartridges, said it would print 100 b&w sheets  didn't even print 30. Couldn't use Hp Smart ink offer as I use mobile tethering and it wasn't a strong enough signal. So purchased non HP cartridges and now HP are contacting me with a final warning telling me to remove Non HP cartridges. How do they know when I can't use the printer online. 

Really upset and fed up with warning emails from HP
