Welcome to the HP Support Community!
- Try to make a copy and check if that works.
- If the printer is able to make a copy, it means the hardware part of the printer is working fine.
Step 1: Reset the printer
1. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
2. Wait at least 60 seconds.
3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
4. Turn ON the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
5. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.
Step 2: Check for any paper jams or a carriage jam

Step 3: Use HP Smart app to print from your Android device

Turn on the printer and make sure ink cartridges are installed and paper is loaded in the tray.

Go to 123.hp.com and install the HP Smart app. Once installed, open the app, and then tap the Plus sign
.

Tap 'Looking for Wi-Fi Direct Printers'? and then tap the printer you want to connect to.

Tap Connect to the printer.

If prompted for a password, type 12345678. This is the default password to log in.
