Hi @Lilliepid,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It seems like you're experiencing issues with printing from Google Drive to your HP printer, even though the printer is online. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.
-
Check Printer Connection:
- Ensure that your printer is connected to the same network as your computer or device.
- Make sure the printer is powered on and not in an error state.
-
Printer Status:
- On your computer, check the printer status to ensure it is not set to "Offline." You can do this by going to "Devices and Printers" on Windows or "Printers & Scanners" on macOS.
-
Update Printer Drivers:
- Although you mentioned that you downloaded the latest driver, it's worth checking for any updates. Visit the HP website to make sure you have the most recent driver for your specific printer model.
-
Google Drive Settings:
- Check your Google Drive settings to ensure that the printer is correctly associated with your account.
- Try logging out and logging back into your Google account to refresh the connection.
-
Google Cloud Print:
- If you are using Google Cloud Print, ensure it's set up correctly. Google Cloud Print allows you to print from any device connected to your Google account to your printer.
-
Printer Configuration:
- Access your printer settings via the control panel or the HP app. Ensure that it's set as the default printer and that it's configured to accept print jobs from Google Drive.
-
Restart Devices:
- Restart your printer, computer, and any other devices involved. This can sometimes clear up communication issues.
-
Firewall/Antivirus:
- Check if your firewall or antivirus software is blocking the communication between your devices. Temporarily disabling them for testing purposes may help identify if they are the cause.
-
Print Test Page:
- Print a test page directly from your computer to check if the printer is functioning properly.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
