I have my printer connected wirelessly to my Mac and have the app on my phone & tablets so I can print wirelessly from those as well.

However, the printer is showing up as an unsecured network on the list of available wifi networks.  Is there a way to get that off the list of available networks or at least make it so it is secured?  I don't want my neighbors or anyone in the area to be able to print something to my printer.

On the list of available networks, it shows up as:

HP-Print-A8-Officejet Pro 8620

Thanks in advance!

Then you need to turn off the printers SSID broadcast.   Disable Wireless Direct in the printer.  Now connect your printer to your routers SSID with password.   Done.

But you need a password or pin to connect.  Do you have a router?

Not sure what you mean about the password or pin to connect.

Yes, I have a router.

Nevermind -- I found it.  Thanks for your help.  I'll do that.

How do I disable Wireless Direct in the printer?  I don't see any settings for Wireless Direct.

The only option I see is Wireless on/off.  If I turn Wireless off, then I'm not able to print to the printer without a printer cable.
