Hi @Mark4145,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Try these steps:

Check Printer and Network Connection

Ensure the Printer is On: Make sure the printer is properly plugged in and powered on. Check if the printer's display shows any error messages.

Network Connection: Confirm that your printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network. You can access the printer's control panel to verify network connection settings.

  • If it's connected via USB, ensure the cable is securely connected.

Restart Devices: Rebooting the printer, computer, and router can often resolve connection issues:

  • Turn off the printer, computer, and router.
  • Wait for 10 seconds, then turn them back on starting with the router, then the computer, and printer.

Set Printer Online in Windows

Printer Settings in Windows:

  • Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click on your HP DeskJet 4155e and select See what's printing.
  • In the queue window, click Printer and ensure the option Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

Reset Printer Spooler:

  • Open Run by pressing Win + R, type services.msc, and hit Enter.
  • Find Print Spooler in the list and right-click it, select Restart.

Update Printer Drivers

Download Latest Drivers: Visit the HP Support website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model.

Driver Settings: Ensure that the drivers are set up properly with the correct printer port:

  • Go to Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click the printer and select Printer properties.
  • Go to the Ports tab, ensure the correct port is selected.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor

  1. Download and Use Tool: You can download and run the HP Print and Scan Doctor utility which helps identify and resolve common printing issues.

I hope this helps.
