I found and printed  the new WPS pin but the Wi-Fi set up page will not accept it.  I only had five minutes to use the number.

What do I do now?

Hi there,

The WPS Pin is required if you are trying to print via Wi-fi direct.  A lot of times, customers don't know they are trying to print or setup up using Wi-fi Direct and are really just trying to print wirelessly (which is different than Wi-fi Direct...it's confusing, I know!).

This HP Support document will tell you how to either re-generate a new WPS Pin if you do want to use Wi-fi Direct, OR setup the printer using a regular wirelss or USB connection.

So I’m assuming I need the WI-FI Direct password that was printed off?

But now I have a new problem. When I click on the printer in settings it will not give me the option to add a password today like it did last night. The connection just keeps going round and round.
How do I get it to stop and give me the password option again?
Thank you again!

No, as you noted, the Wi-Fi Direct password (the WPS PIN) expires after several minutes.  You need to start the process over and generate a new PIN.  The instructions to do that are in the document I linked to in my original post under "I want to obtain the WPS Pin to complete the Wi-Fi Direct setup".
