Hi @pmac607,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
I understand your HP OfficeJet 3835 is not printing from any device even though the wireless test shows no problems. Let’s go through a few steps to identify what might be causing this.
Check Printer Status
Make sure the printer is powered on and not showing any error lights or messages on the display.
Confirm there is enough paper in the tray and the ink cartridges are installed properly.
Verify Wireless Connection
Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your phone or computer.
If possible, print a wireless network report from the printer to confirm it is connected correctly.
Restart Devices
Power off the printer, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.
Restart your phone or computer before attempting to print again.
Clear Print Queue
Even if it appears empty, open the print queue on your device and cancel all pending jobs.
On Windows, go to Settings → Devices → Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click Open queue. On mobile devices, check the printer app.
Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers
On a computer, uninstall the printer driver and reinstall the latest driver from the HP website.
For mobile devices, ensure the HP Smart app is up to date and try re-adding the printer.
Check Printer IP Address
On the printer’s control panel, print the network configuration page.
Make sure the IP address matches the one your device is trying to print to. If not, update the printer’s IP in your device settings.
Perform a Printer Reset
With the printer on, disconnect the power cord from the printer and wall for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cord and turn the printer back on.
Try Wired Connection (Optional)
If wireless printing fails, connect the printer via USB and attempt to print to rule out network issues.
I hope this helps.
