Microsoft Windows 10 (32-bit)

My printer, a Deskjet 3762 (3700 all-in-one series) refuses to print any order I put in. Not from Google docs, not from Word, not from any app on my laptop and not even from the HP app itself. I can print from itself just fine. Any of the reports print just fine, so the printer isn't even broken in terms of hardware.

I've installed the HP app, set the printer to my wifi, printed the reports, ran diagnostics, made certain there is enough ink and paper in the thing and have tried several times to run tests  now. Nothing works. I've triple checked the drivers and other software to make sure it's compatible, and everything is as it should be. So it's not hardware or software.

What happens is that when I press 'print', I can see the file being sent to the printer. And then it disappears. No errors, no messages, no popups, nothing. The file just disappears. I've tried this over and over with several different files and ways to force it to print.

So what now? Do I toss the printer and get a different brand? Do I have to resort to manually writing the documents by hand?

Hi @Xelon99,

Welcome to the HP Support Community

I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Deskjet 3762 printer. Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.

To assist better:

  • Is the blue light solid on the printer?
  • When was the last time the printer worked fine?
  • Have you tried printing from a different application or device?

While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:

  • With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  • Remove USB cable, if present.
  • Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
  • Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
  • Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle
