I'm beyond baffled. I have no idea if it's an Adobe Issue or a HP printer issue. I've updated all drivers and software. I am operating on a Windows 10 PC.  I've tried printing using system dialogue, in the InDesign app, and from the chrome browser. I even resized the document to be smaller. Same issue.

Basically, I created a  letter sized document with Adobe Indesign. Some of the text is outside of the margins. On my HP printer the upper section prints correctly but the bottom is cut off. On the Adobe preview it shows that the bottom section of the page will be cut off. When I switch to Adobe PDF or Microsoft Print to PDF, all the text is on the page.

To make matters worse, when I select print on both sides, the page is enlarged even more so that the top and bottom of the page are cut off. When I resize the document a quarter inch smaller and even a 1/2 inch smaller it still cut off part of the top or bottom of the page.

When I choose fit to page or shrink oversize pages it creates a very large margin on the bottom of the page. This can be seen in the printed examples below. The one of the left prints at actual size on the HP. Then the one on the right is printed to shrink oversized pages. 20191106_143811.jpg

I have no idea why its doing this with my in design document. I have tested other PDF documents and printed them with my HP printer and they print correctly. I've tried saving it under differnt PDF versions. I've tried it with InDesigns 2019 and 2020. I've tried printing it with printer marks and guides. I've tried changing the printer settings. I've even recreated the document from scratch. Even when I print from InDesign to my HP printer, the bottom section gets cut off.

  2. Click File, and then select Print from the list.

    The Print window opens.

The Advanced Print Setup window opens.

  4. Click the Print As Image checkbox, change any other settings as desired, and then click OK.

Thank you @sandytechy20 . I tried both of those prior to asking in this forum.

The indesign document is created with a .5" margin and my HP printer specifications include a .5" margin on the bottom (3mm on the top and sides). So, theoretically, it should print without issue. However, when I choose "actual size" it cuts off the bottom part of the page. It's like the HP software is resizing my paper when I choose "actual size" but the actual size is 8.5"x11". When I choose print on both sides it re-sizes the page even worse.

I recommend you delete the driver at the root level and Install the drivers, follow the steps below:

Remove the USB if connected

1.) In Windows, search for and open Programs and features

2.) Select your HP Printer

3.) Select Uninstall

4.) In Windows, search for and open Devices and printers

5.) In the Devices and Printers windows look for your HP printer. If you see it listed right-click on it and choose `Delete' or `Remove Device'

6.) Open up the run command with the "Windows key + R" key combo.

7.) Type printui.exe /s and click Ok. (Note: there is a space in between "printui.exe" and "/s")

8.) Click on the "Drivers" tab

9.) Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it Click on it and click Remove at the bottom

10.) Select Ok

11.) Select Apply and Ok on the Print Server Properties windows

12.) Close Devices and Printers

Then, Click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/hp-officejet-2620-all-in-one-printer-seri... to download the Full Feature Software and Drivers.

Try to print.

Thank you so much. I tried all that you requested and it went smoothly. However, I'm still having the exact same issue. This did not fix the problem.
