Anyone know why I get 2 or 3 copies when I print an email from my iPhone to the Officejet 6500A Plus?

I purchased the HP Officejet 6500A Plus yesterday and set it up on a WiFI network as well as via ePrint, but I have yet to find out how to print make it available to my iPhone via Air Print. At HP's suggestion, I checked to see if there were any updates available for the printer, and it says NO.
Can you tell me how you got your printer to be visible to your iPhone via Air Print?
Thank you kindly,
EDwin Diaz

Hi DavidE1010,
Could you please provide more information to help us understand the issue.
How did you sent the job? Throught ePrint or Airprint?
Does it happen to all your print job?
How is the printer connected to the router?
Thank you.

Hi EdwinDiaz,
Can you please check what is the printer current firmware version.
Open a web browser and input the printer IP address. This will bring up the printer Embedded Web Server.
Click on the Tools tab >> Printer Information.
Do let me know what is the printer firmware version.
The printer would need to be connected to the router wirelessly and within the same subnet for the airprint to be able to locate the printer.
Some other users did comment that disabling bluetooth on their iPhone can resolve the issue of locating the printer.
Thank you.

i've the same problem. just bought the 6500A Plus and it won't work with either of our two iphones (one 3Gs, the other iphone 4) or my husband's iPad. i've rebooted the phones, ipad, printer and router as per the advice on a different post on an HP forum and no difference. none of our devices recognize the printer. i disabled bluetooth and still won't recognize.
now what?? we went with HP over Canon for the simple reason that HP has AirPrint.
my printer firmware is CIP1FN1023BR. Please advise!!

The Officejet 6500 requires a firmware upgrade in order to get AirPrint support. The Officejets are updated by running software on your computer that downloads the new firmware to the printer. You can get the firmware updater from here:
Good luck.

i reckon i have the latest firmware as i just downloaded everything from the HP website (the set up disc that came with the printer was faulty). that said, i clicked the link above, selected mac osx as my operating system, and it doesn't look like there even is a firmware upgrade for me. my options are Driver (1), and CD-ROM order page - CD/DVDs (1).
now what??

I can print (wirelessly) with my Mac Air and my Mac Pro. My iPhone recognizes the "Officejet 6500 E710n-z [E68ADD] when I try to print from it,(4-s). Acts like it is working.... BUT a window comes up "The printer is no longer available" CANCEL or TRY AGAIN
Any ideas ???
