Just bought a new HP Envy 7645 printer. Can't print within the yahoo or google mail app or chrome in Android Marshmallow 6.0.1. Phone is a Samsung S7. Says printer is unavailable. When I try to change printer to pdf or wifi direct it says it's unable to change settings. I have the HP print plug-in enabled. The web services on the printer are on. The firmware on the printer has been updated. I have cleared the cache and data in the printer spooler on my android device. I also tried the samsung plug-in and the Mopria plug-in (printer is mopria certified) and they do not work either. The printer is setup wireless on my home network. Printer works fine wirelessly from a windows computer. Ran HP print and scan doctor and HP support assistant and everything is good. Restarted network, computer, android phone, printer. Uninstalled plug-ins and reinstalled with no luck after enabling. Tried to print from a Samsung note 3 running lolipop, same issue, did not work either. The HP eprint app works fine, but that doesn't print emails within an email app.. Yahoo mail, google mail, and chrome all have done a couple of updates to there android apps with no help in solving my issue. Had a HP Photosmart 7520 prior to this 7645 and I had NO issues printing from any Android, Apple or Windows devices. All the prior software for the 7520 has been removed from all devices before installing new software for the 7645. Default printer is networked 7645. I can't figure out if this is a App issue (yahoo, google) or a software issue with the printer not allowing the app to connect to it to print. Printer is on the WSD port. Very frustrating. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

So with the help of HP telephone customer support this issue is Solved!!!
So here is the answer to anyone else out there haveing a problem printing from an android device to an HP printer using either wifi or wifi direct. There is a problem with the updated version of Android system webview and ANY print plug in for android.
HP is working on a fix to the plugin issue but there is a work around so that we can print from our Android wireless devices. So here it is..
Go to your settings>go to application manager>go to Android system Webview>Disable and let it revert back to its original configuration. Once that is done, you should be able to print from all the apps on your Android device that supports print.
NOTE: If you have your android device set in the play store to auto update your apps, change it to manual update so it will not auto update android system webview.
Thank you to everyone out there that tried to help resolve this issue.

Hello, and Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Check the "Power Saving" option on the phone. If turned on, try turning it off then attempt to print.
If ePrint is working, have you tried "Forwarding" the email to your printer's email address?

Power saving mode is off. The work around is a good suggestion but fowarding an email to print shows that it was fowarded and could have been manipulated prior to printing. Need to print the emails direct to printer from original sender...

What is a "WSD" port?
Can you print anything else via the HP Print plugin? A locally-saved text file perhaps?
Both devices are using wifi and connected to the same 2.4Ghz wifi network, correct?

WSD=Web services for Devices. Here is a microsoft blog on the technology. It started with windows 8 and continues today as the port designed for web services devices like printers. https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askperf/2008/02/11/ws2008-the-wsd-port-monitor/
when you go to setting, devices, click on your default printer, manage, printer properties, port...the port should be WSD if you have a wireless printer that accesses web services from the printer itself.
I can print documents, pdf's etc. from hp E-print app, but not directly through an app like office suite. It says the printer is not available and when I change the printer it says can not change settings. Yet it is available to my laptop on the network.
I really think the plug in's for android are not connecting to the printer correctly or the printer software is causing it. Which would be an HP thing. If I can't get this working, I will probably be forced to return the printer and get a different brand like epson. I have always been a hp guy, but Im thinking this is something HP needs to figure out and fix before they lose customers over this. I know by reading the forum and searches on this subject, Im not the only one.
