I am unable to print on the cricut printable sticker paper.  The project will print on regular plain paper, but the sticker paper runs throught the machine and sounds like it is printing, but it comes out blank.  Please help!! Cricut told me to contact HP and HP was nasty and unhelpful. I know the paper isn't too heavy, because I have run thick cardstock through this printer plenty of times.

HP Support, could you please post a public reply to this issue.  I have the Envy 7120 and it's doing exactly the same thing with the Cricut sticker paper.  It's extremely frustrating.  I suspect that it has something to do with the rollers not able to feed the paper because the backing is slightly waxy.  Is there any way to manually feed the sticker paper in?

Hi,

I too am having no luck getting my HP OfficeJet Pro 6978 to print onto cricut printable sticker paper.  It prints just fine on regular paper but the printable sticker paper gets jammed.  I have tried all the different settings on the computer for differing paper types and nothing works.  Any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure why your printer won't accept Cricut sticker paper if it accepts cardstock.  It's possible that the Cricut sticker paper is slightly heavier/thicker in the printer's 'mind' and it's just too much. Maybe such a slight difference that your printer can tell, but you can't.  I simply bought Silhouette sticker paper instead from Michaels (thinner paper) and it prints perfect fine if I set it on Brochure Matte media type.  This prevented me from the inevitable frustration and possibly having to buy another printer just for that.  Good luck.

Thanks for this - I've been hesitant to buy the Silhouette sticker paper in case I had the same problem.  I'm glad to hear it's a bit thinner and works fine.  I'll order some today.

Thank you for the suggestion to try Silhouette paper rather than Cricut printable paper.  I will give it a try and hope for the best.

So this is not necessarily a solution but something I discovered while trying to do this myself. I went through the troubleshooting and cleaned the rollers and it still didn't pulled paper. When I pulled the Cricut paper out I realize that the back side is a little on the smooth end but the sticker side is more matt. I ran the Cricut sticker paper in upside down and it gripped fine and came out. So clearly it is not a thickness issue but a grip issue on the back of the paper. Don't have a solution yet but now I can work with something

Forgive my lack of generosity and understanding,  but WHY would you only help people who are willing to share their emails, and not just their problems. Seems stingy? Meanwhile, how does one get these doggone Cricut vinyl sheets to feed through an HP printer, please. and thank you.

I have the same issue with my 6978. Was a solutions ever found for the problem?
