Hi @NishS,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To use your HP Ink Tank 310 printer with your phone and laptop via a Type C cable, you'll need the appropriate drivers and software installed on your devices. Here's what you can do,
- Install HP Smart App: HP Smart is an application that allows you to set up, scan, print, and manage your HP printer from your smartphone or tablet. You can download it from Google Play Store or Apple App Store, depending on your device.
- Connect Printer: Make sure your printer is connected to your device via the Type C cable. Ensure that the cable is securely connected to both the printer and your device.
- Follow Setup: Open the HP Smart app on your device. Follow the on-screen instructions to set up your printer. The app should detect your printer connected via USB and guide you through the setup process.
- Install Drivers on Laptop: If you want to print from your laptop, you'll need to install the appropriate drivers. You can download the drivers from the HP website. Go to the HP support website, enter your printer model (HP Ink Tank 310), and download the drivers for your operating system.
- Connect Printer to Laptop: Once the drivers are installed, connect your printer to your laptop using the Type C cable. Your laptop should detect the printer automatically.
- Print: After the setup is complete, you should be able to print from both your phone and laptop using the HP Smart app or any other compatible printing application.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
