What app do you guys use to print from smartphones? I use AnyDesk to print from my laptop to my PC’s printer and I used PrinterShare to print from iOS/Android when was under one time payment, now is subscription, and my PrinterShare Premium license is useless now, just no ads in an app I can’t use.

No Wireless/WiFi printer.

Hi @hyperanjitha,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your need to print from a smartphone to a non-WiFi printer. Let’s go through a few checks.

I recommend using our official integrated solutions designed specifically for your hardware. For an HP printer connected via USB to a PC without its own wireless capability, the following HP services provide the best experience:

1. HP Smart "Print Anywhere" (Recommended)

This is our primary remote printing service. It allows you to send print jobs to your printer over the internet, even if you are not on the same network.

  • How it works: Once you set up your printer in the HP Smart app on your PC and phone, you can enable Print Anywhere in the printer settings.
  • Action: Download the app from the Microsoft Store for your PC and the Google Play Store or Apple App Store for your smartphone.
  • Requirement: You must be signed into your HP account on both devices for the cloud relay to function.

2. HP ePrint

For many older HP models, you can print by simply sending an email to a unique address assigned to your printer.

  • How it works: Enable Web Services on your printer (usually via the printer's control panel or the HP Smart app) to receive a unique email address like yourprinter@hpeprint.com.
  • Action: Send your document as an attachment to that address from any email app on your smartphone.
  • Note: This service is generally supported for models released before Fall 2020; newer models use Print Anywhere instead.

3. HP Print Service Plugin (Direct USB Connection)

If you prefer not to use your PC as a relay, you can connect your Android smartphone directly to your HP printer using a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable

  • How it works: Connect the printer's USB cable to a USB OTG adapter, then plug that into your phone.
  • Action: Install the HP Print Service Plugin from the Google Play Store. It will automatically detect the USB-connected printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day ahead! 🚀

Best regards,

I'm an HP Employee.
