Hey there! @Pratik133, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand you have issues printing wirelessly from your printer.

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Does the issue persist when you make a copy from your printer?

Is the printer connected to wired or wireless connection?

As you mentioned you have lost the wireless password due to which you are unable to connect your printer wirelessly.

Can you please brief the issue completely to assist you better. Also, please share a few screenshots of the issue you are facing.

Try the steps recommended below.

If your printer has a basic control panel (no touchscreen or text navigation), or the Wireless Setup Wizard method did not work, try using Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS) to connect the printer.

Both your printer and wireless router must support the WPS push button or PIN connection types. Consult your printer and wireless router manuals to confirm if they support it.

On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for two or more seconds, and then release the button when the wireless light starts blinking.
Within two minutes, press the WPS button on your wireless router.
Wait up to two minutes while the printer automatically establishes a network connection with the wireless network.
If the printer connected to the network, try installing the HP driver and software again.

Temporarily disable firewall software on the computer.

Also, assign a static IP to your printer and check if it helps.

- Print a Network Config Page from the front of the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS. You can choose another external DNS if you wish.
- Click 'Apply'.

If the issue still persists uninstall the printer software from the root level and install the full feature printer software.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Update the full feature printer software using this link

If the issue still persists after trying out the steps try restoring the printer to factory settings and check if it helps.

Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also clears the fax
header name, phone number, and any stored faxes in the product memory.
CAUTION: Restoring the factory-set defaults returns all of the settings to the factory defaults, and it also
clears the fax header name, phone number, and any stored faxes in the product memory. This procedure also
clears the fax phone book, and deletes any pages that are stored in the memory. The procedure then
automatically restarts the product.

1. On the product control panel, press the Setup button.
2. Use the arrows buttons to select the Service menu, and then press the OK button.
3. Use the arrows buttons to select the Restore Defaults option, and then press the OK button.
The product automatically restarts.

When scanning for wireless networks I am able to see the name of my printer's SSID (DIRECT-ae-HP M132 LaserJet) in the WiFi list but when trying to connect to it, it requires a password. the default password is 12345678 but it doesnt work.

@Pratik133, Thanks for your response and time.

I appriciate your efforts for sharing the details.

As you mentioned you are able to see the wireless networks but when connecting the printer it is asking for the password.

Can you please share the exact printer model name you are using?

Did you try the WPS method to connect your printer to the network?

Did you try performing a factory defaults on your printer as suggested in my previous post?

I have checked the records and found that HP LasetJet M1132MFP does not have a wireless functionality.

Refer the printer specification page for more information. Link

So you have issues connecting your printer to the wireless network.

However, if you are using HP LaserJet Pro MFP M132 series printer you can try the steps recommended below and connect the printer back to the network.

Use the embedded Web server to set a network password or change an existing password.

Identify the product IP address or hostname.

If you do not know the IP address for the product, it is listed on the Configuration page. See the user guide that came with your product to see how to print a Configuration page at the control panel.
Open a Web browser.
In the Address or Go to field, type the IP address that is assigned to the product (for example, http://192.168.1.1) or the host name (for example; http://www.[your_server].com).

1. Open the embedded Web server, click the Networking tab, and click the Password link.
NOTE: If a password has previously been set, you are prompted to type the password. Type the
password, and then click the Apply button.
2. Type the new password in the Password box and in the Confirm Password box.
3. At the bottom of the window, click the Apply button to save the password.

If the issue still persists try the steps recommended below to restore printer settings to default and connect the printer back to the network again.

1. Open the HP Embedded Web Server (EWS):
a. Open the HP Printer Assistant.
● Windows 8.1: Click the down arrow in lower left corner of the Start screen, and then select
the printer name.
● Windows 8: Right-click an empty area on the Start screen, click All Apps on the app bar, and
then select the printer name.
● Windows 7, Windows Vista, and Windows XP: From the computer desktop, click Start, select
All Programs, click HP, click the folder for the printer, select the icon with the printer's name,
and then open HP Printer Assistant.
b. In the HP Printer Assistant, select Print, and then select HP Device Toolbox.
2. Click the System tab, and then click the Save and Restore page.
3. Select Restore Defaults.
The printer automatically restarts.
