I dont know the password. Maybe I set one once, maybe someone else in the house did, but if we did, I can't remember it. But there is no way to reset the password or send a clue or anything without.... wait for it.... knowing the password!! I've seen another forum on this topic so I'm not the first. Am raging. Please help!! Please someone send me instructions for how to reset the password! Thank you!

HI @ellenfishing,
Good Day. Thank you for posting your query in the HP community. I read the post regarding issues with password issues on the printer. I will be delighted to assist you here.
Superb description and spectacular troubleshooting and commendable diagnosis of the issue before posting. Kudos to you for that. 🙂
For better clarity and to assist you better I would require more information regarding this:
- Did you change the router or your ISP?
For now, try these steps:
- I will send you a private message to perform an NVRAM reset on the printer to factory settings.
- Please check your forum private message box for a message from me.
- This will fix the issue.
Please perform all these steps patiently as it is critical to resolving the issue. The trick is to remain patient, please.
Hope this helps. Let me know how it goes. To simply say thanks, please click the "Thumbs Up" button to give me a Kudos to appreciate my efforts to help. If this helps, please mark this as “Accepted Solution” as it will help several others with the same issue to get it resolved without hassles.
Take care and have a blessed week ahead. 🙂
Cheers!
