Samsung Xpress SL-M2885FW Laser Multifunction Printer

I setup AirPrint on my Samsung Xpress printer. It is connected to the same WiFi network as my iPhone. When trying to use AirPrint from my iPhone, the printer is not found. Does this printer support AirPrint? If so, why can't I find the printer?

Hi @PapaKapp,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand that the Samsung Xpress M2885FW printer isn't found by AirPrint, ensure both your printer and iOS device are on the same network, the printer's wireless is enabled, and both have the latest software/firmware.

Please try the below steps:

1. Network Connection:

  • Verify Network:

Ensure your iPhone/iPad and the printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

  • Check Wireless Signal:

Make sure the printer's wireless signal is on and strong. Look for a wireless icon light on the printer, and it should be solid, not blinking.

  • Power Cycle:

Try turning off the printer, router, and iOS device, waiting a minute, and then powering them back on in that order.

2. Software and Firmware:

  • Update iOS: Make sure your iPhone/iPad is running the latest version of iOS.
  • Update Printer Firmware: Check the Samsung support website for any firmware updates for your M2885FW printer and install them.
  • Check for AirPrint Compatibility: Ensure your printer model is compatible with AirPrint, or that you have the latest drivers installed.

If you are still facing the issue, please try the steps shared in the link for more help

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
