HP Envy 5020

I recently bought an HP Envy Printer.

I use the hotspot on my iphone to connect the printer to the internet.  I can successfully do this by:

(i) Pressing the wireless symbol on the home screen

(ii) Selecting the wireless wizard set-up and following the subsequent instructions

However, there does not seem to be the option to save my iphone hotspot as the default wireless connection.  Consequently, I have to go through this procedure every morning when I switch the printer on and everytime my phone goes out of range from the printer.

Please could you advise if and how wireless settings can be saved.

Hi @mchughes

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the connectivity issue.

HP ENVY 5000 All-in-One printer does not supports printing through a hotspot connection. To print, directly connect your computer or mobile device to your printer with Wi-Fi Direct.

Please refer to page# 46 of the User Guide.

For more information, go to Wi-Fi Direct Printer Setup

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
