I am trying to send emails to my printer with the printer email address I established When I send it, it won't accept to print. The printer is a HP Office Jet 5255. I am sure that I am missing a set up step. Advise or guidance will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Are you trying to set up and use ePrint?
Does the printer support ePrint?
Yes

After the printer has it's own email address - AND is connected to the Internet via Web Services, you can use that printer email address to send stuff to the printer. Like what? The list is not long, you can send Images, PDF files, for example.

That's kind of "it"...
==========================================================
The rest of the pieces...
All the rest of this is how to make use of your lovely ePrint email address to send stuff to the printer.
Notes...
The printer needs to be set up and functional, for example, and the mail service you are using must confirm to the rules of using ePrint.
For example,
- The ePrint files actually travel to an ePrint server farm before the file goes to the printer; Web Services must be running on the printer (to keep the connection up and available).
- The email you are using to send the job to the printer should not using a Domain. Why? Most "work email" usually hates ePrint because the servers from which the actual jobs are sent to the printer are not "recognized" by the work email Domain mail server - mail server freaks out and throws DNS errors all over the place)...
- The email you are using to send the job to the printer should likely NOT be set up with two-step verification - or, if it is, the address should have an "Apps password" attached - doing it this way reduces the change that the job is going to get stuck somewhere.
Full Feature Software (printer software)
If you have not done so, make sure the printer software is installed .
What is it? The printer software is the package that creates that shortcut icon on the Desktop named for the Printer.

Next..
If you have not done so, add the HP Smart for Windows application .
HP Smart for Windows
HP Smart is an application available in the Microsoft Windows Store

Open the Software and Drivers Support Website for your printer > Check the Box Get the App

Windows Mail
Windows Mail is installed in Windows on your computer.
Open Windows Mail
Add one of your email addresses to it.
General Notes - Email Address:
Email address does NOT Two-Step-Verification and does have "Less Secure Apps" set
OR
If the email address does have Two-Step-Verification and does also has an Apps Password
========================================================
Open HP Smart for Windows application
Sign into the application using your HP account email userid and password (likely same as you use here)
Add your printer - check to make sure it is recognized and connected
Click Scan
Scan from the printer, Import from a file already on the computer, or choose the camera
Scan or select your file / image (if using Import, for example)
Adjust or "Reset" the boundaries around the object and accept / apply
Click to Scan the item - or if already selected by Import, jump to next step
Click Share > Click Mail > Select from the list of email addresses added to Windows Mail
Enter a name for the recipient - a real person's email or the printer's email ePrint address
Add your Bcc / CC recipient(s)
Add text to body of message
Send
=============================================================
Sending to a normal email (person) does not print the content automatically on the printer but it does send the content to the recipient
If you want to send the email directly to the printer, use ePrint address. For example, DragonFurStuff@hpeprint.com
Remember: ePrint does not like Bcc
