I am able to connect my HP B210 printer to the wifi network. I am able to print from my Galaxy S8 phone. However, I am unable to connect my printer to the HP PRINT SMART PLUGIN APP / HP SMART app. In addition there is a ' Server Connection Error' "there is problem a connecting to the server" message on the printer's touchscreen. I'm unable to scan documents to my android phone because I can't add my printer to the HP app.
I have verified printer and phone are on the same network. I have restored factory reset. Still unable to connect with the HP APP or server. Please advise, many thanks!!

Uninstall the older version of the HP smart app and reinstall the newer version.
