I have a HP LaserJet 300 color MFP m375nw.  I moved to a new WiFi 6E router.  The moment I tried to connect the printer to the new WiFi 6E router by e, it failed and produced an error code as follows:  Service Error 79.

I've tried rebooting the printer many times and the same error comes up.  The WiFi router broadcasts in 2.4GHZ and is supposedly backward compatible with older frequencies for connection.

At this point, I can't get past the Service Error 79 message that comes up.  No idea what to do.  It worked beautifully on the old router, but that has been returned to Verizon.

On other models there have been issues with the IPV6 protocol causing 79 errors. You need to disable that protocol through the network settings in the EWS. Not sure if you can do that through the control panel of the printer. If you cannot you are probably going to have to connect to the printer with a wired ethernet cable temporarily.  Note that you need to either delete that router ssid from the printer or disable the wireless on the router temporarily in order to get the printer to ready.
