Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

The Smart App doesn't connect to Cloud Storage for printing but only for scanning. I can't even print from the desktop files. I also tried connecting via 'Shortcuts' icon. May someone assist.

Hi @letladi, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It looks like your HP Smart app isn't allowing you to print from cloud storage or even local desktop files. Here are some troubleshooting steps to try:

Ensure HP Smart App is Updated

Make sure you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed. If not, update it from the Microsoft Store (Windows) or App Store (Mac).

Check Printer Connectivity

  1. Open HP Smart → Click on your printer → Check if it shows as "Ready" or "Offline".
  2. If offline, restart your printer, router, and computer, then reconnect.

Sign Out & Re-sign into HP Smart

  1. Click on your profile icon in HP Smart.
  2. Sign out and then sign back in with your HP account.
  3. Try printing again.

Enable Cloud Printing Features

  1. Open HP Smart → Click on "Print & Scan"
  2. Check if "Cloud Print" is enabled under settings.
  3. If not, toggle it on and try again.

Clear HP Smart App Cache (Windows)

  1. Press Windows + R, type wsreset, and press Enter.
  2. Restart your PC and relaunch HP Smart.

Reinstall HP Smart

  1. Uninstall HP Smart completely.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Download and install the latest version.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
