My printer in hp connected (hp eprint) doeasn't want to print pdf and doc files - it print only a half of the page and then blank page or all page is blank and I got the message that the task of print was cancelled althout the user didn't cancel anything....

There is written that .... name.pdf file couldn't be printed.

It happens from today ...I'm not sure if it's because of the system of hp connected and not my printer, maybe?

How can I know if it's not the fault of the hp connected server?

@Irek1, Welcome to HP Support Community!

Perform a hard reset on the printer and try printing-

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.
  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.
  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.
  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.
  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.
  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.
  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.
  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed.

If the issue persists, follow troubleshooting steps from this document.

Let me know the outcome.

Cheers 🙂

I did all You advice but it doesn't help. Printer can print the test page directly from the printer but it can't print via the internet - i mean the attached files - it has problem with jpg pdf and docx - like it would be problem with reading the files.

I still got message unsupported attachment - if I want to print pdf, but taking photo from it and pasting it to doc makes such file supported and print it - it doesn't solve the problem cause the quality is worse.

Confirm the following ePrint email requirements.

  • Enter only the printer email address in the 'To' field: Multiple email addresses might cancel the print job.

  • Add text in the 'Subject' field: A blank subject field might cancel the print job.

  • Attach no more than 10 items to the email: The total size of the email, including attachments, must be 10 MB or less.

Try printing and see if that works.

Keep me posted.

Cheers 🙂

Let us try restarting the HP Web Services and see if that helps.

  1. On your printer control panel, touch or press the HP ePrint icon or button, and then touch or press Settings.

If your printer control panel does not have an icon or button, navigate to Web Services Setup, Network Setup, or Wireless Settings to open the Web Services menu, depending on your printer model.

  2. Select Turn Off, Disable, or Remove, depending on your printer model.

  3. Follow the on-screen instructions to turn off Web Services.

Restart the printer and turn on the web services. Try sending an email to your printer's email address.

See if that helps.

Keep me posted.

Cheers 🙂

I'm having the same issue and have tried all those steps to no avail. I tried resetting to factory settings on the printer, reconnecting WIFI and ePrint, and I'm still only able to print half a Word of PDF doc. It auto-cancels half way through. Anything else I can do or is the printer trash?

I think this is not the problem of our printers but the sever system - it has problems with the pdf files.

I think that 'cause I have no problem with printing on the printer any files that are send to the printer via the usb cable - when it's connected with the pc.

Yes, I gived up with the eprint service - because it doesn't work correctly. I tried really hard..

The solution is to have a pc connected to the printer by usb (until the eprint will be usable it's nonsens for me to buy any new printer with that options - too much stress) and the vpn connection - then You can print directly - for sure it's gonna be printed ok - like in my situation.

Cheers!
