Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan

I am trying to set up my HP 4520 in my dorm and it will not connect to wi-fi. Every time I try to connect I get a message that says"Unable to connect to the network. This network uses an unsupported type of authentication or encryption."

Is there a way to fix this or get around it? I am using the printer just to print off class notes and essays.

Thank you for any help you can provide!

Nope not gonna work.  Your school is using Enterprise Authentication.   Home printers do not support this.  You can use a USB cable or the printers Wireless Direct feature if it has it.  Check your User guide.

Why would you want to connect your printer to a public WiFi anyway??  Everyone will find it and prints reams of crap to is just to waste your ink and paper.

I've tried to use the wireless direct feature and that should work, but I still need to set-up my printer. Can someone direct me to a guide on how to do that? The printer can't access the building's wifi because I'm in a dorm and it wont work on this network encryption. I'm on the most recent Mac OS.

Much appreciated.
