@Greyghost7, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're having trouble printing from your mobile device using the HP Smart app after canceling your HP Instant Ink subscription. No worries, I’ll guide you through the steps to get your printer working again and help you manage your HP account.

Step 1: Check Printer Connectivity

Make sure your printer is still connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your mobile device:

  1. On the printer, press the Wireless button to check the status.
  2. If the light is blinking or off, reconnect the printer:
    • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons together for 5 seconds to reset the network settings.
    • Use the HP Smart app to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

Step 2: Remove Instant Ink Restrictions (if any)

Sometimes, after canceling Instant Ink, the printer may still be linked to the subscription. To fix this:

  1. Sign in to your HP account at https://www.hp.com/instantink.
  2. Go to My Account > My Printers.
  3. Remove the printer from your Instant Ink account if it's still listed.
  4. Restart your printer.

Step 3: Reinstall the HP Smart App

To ensure a clean setup:

  1. Uninstall the HP Smart app from your mobile device.
  2. Restart your phone.
  3. Reinstall the app from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android).
  4. Open the app and add your printer again.

Step 4: Delete HP Account (Optional)

If you want to delete your HP account:

  1. Visit https://account.hp.com.
  2. Sign in and go to Account Settings.
  3. Scroll down and click Close Account.
  4. Follow the on-screen steps to confirm.

Step 5: Print from Mobile

Once your printer is reconnected and the app is set up:

  1. Open the HP Smart app.
  2. Tap Print Documents or Print Photos.
  3. Select your file and tap Print

Also, make sure you have cancelled the instant ink service and once cancelled, please make sure you purchase original HP cartridges for your printer, Which cartridges work with my HP printer? | HP® Support

I hope this helps.
