Hello,
Everytime I turn off my printer - or it's idle for a while - my mac loses it's connection with it. Does anybody have any solution for this? It is quite irritating to de-install and re-install the printer's software everytime.
Many thanks in advance.

Hi,
Try removing the printer and then re-adding it by opening the preferences tab and then selecting "printers & scanners".
From there, click the minus sign under teh printer icon to remove the printer and then re-add it using the sign.
This often helps if you are experienceing printer offline issues regularly.

Hi,
Thank you for your prompt response. The problem is that unless I de-install and re-install the software/drivers, my the mac is unable to locate the printer using the solution you are proposing. And this is not something that has happened once or twice, it's all the the time really.
Best Regards

Hi,
Just to clarify, when you re-install the drivers and go through the wirless setup, it works for a while and then stops?
With the drivers installed, try going through the wireless setup with a USB in place and then disconnect the USB to see if it helps maintain a connection.
