HP Envy 5055 suddenly stopped connecting to WiFi. Attempted using wireless setup wizard after resetting to the default settings and it successfully searches for my router. When I click on the router it doesn't ask for the password. It says Encryption: None. I click to connect. It unsurprisingly fails.
I tried going through my routers admin (I have a Rockspace mesh router which the printer has worked fine on for a few months) to see if there's something to switch but can't find anything.
Any ideas?

Unfortunately these standard help algorithms are not resolving the issue. I've tried rebooting both router and printer in different order. I've tried using the wireless setup wizard after restoring default printer settings. The printer still recognizes my router as available but it's erroneously not recognizing that the router has an encryption/password key. (Next to encryption on the screen it says "none"). Any other options?

Appreciate your efforts in trying to resolve the issue-
Try to connect the printer via USB and then convert it to wireless-
Temporarily connect the printer to the computer with a USB cable, and then change the connection to wireless in HP Printer Assistant.
-
Search Windows for HP, and then click your printer name from the list of results. If you do not have the printer software installed on your computer, to go 123.hp.com to download and install it.
HP Printer Assistant opens.
-
Click the Utilities tab.
-
Click Printer Setup & Software, and then click Reconfigure Wireless Settings.
-
Follow the on-screen instructions to change the wireless settings.
-
When prompted, connect the USB cable and type the WEP or WPA key (network password).
If you do not know your network password, go to Find Your Wireless WEP, WPA, WPA2 Password (Windows).
Once the printer connects to the wireless network, the blue Wireless light on the control panel turns on solid.
Try printing.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Unfortunately this still doesn't work. I have a printer to USB cable connecting to a MACbook Pro. It won't connect with the hardwired connection either. When I try to add a printer with the HP Smart app using USB it just spins incessantly "Finding the printer..." and never finds it.
