Apple says they no longer support wireless printing to an HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One printer. Is there some app I can use on my iPhone 14? I usually want to print attachments to email.

Hi @Sandy4224 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you are facing an issue with your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus e-All-in-One printer, Yes, even though Apple no longer natively supports AirPrint for your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus, there are still ways to print from your iPhone:
HP Smart App:
- Download the free HP Smart App from the App Store.
- This app is specifically designed by HP for printing and provides more functionalities than the native iOS printing options.
- Once set up, you can print attachments directly from your email app by sharing them with the HP Smart App.
Wi-Fi Direct:
- This method creates a direct connection between your iPhone and the printer, bypassing the need for Apple's AirPrint support.
- Consult your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus manual or search online for instructions on enabling Wi-Fi Direct on your printer.
- Once enabled, you can find the printer's Wi-Fi Direct network on your iPhone and connect to it.
- When printing, select the printer through the Wi-Fi Direct connection.
Here are some additional tips:
- Make sure your iPhone and printer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network (except when using Wi-Fi Direct).
- Ensure your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus has the latest firmware update installed. You can find update instructions on the HP website.
- If you encounter any issues, try restarting both your iPhone and printer.
While Apple may not directly support AirPrint for your older printer model, using the HP Smart App or Wi-Fi Direct should allow you to continue printing from your iPhone.
